The Scale

Each restaurant is scored on a 100% system, then converted to a 52-point Mile Marker.

Why 52?

  • 52 weeks in a year

  • California State Route 52, which runs directly into the Convoy area

  • Convoy Street itself, where restaurants share traffic, parking, and momentum


Primary Weighting (75%)

These three factors carry the most weight.

  • Taste — 45%

  • Value for Money — 15%

  • Final Thoughts / Return Factor — 15%

Together, they account for 75% of the score.


Supporting Factors (25%)

These shape the experience without overriding the food.

  • Wait Time / Seating — 2%

  • Table Cleanliness & Atmosphere — 4%

  • Service Flow (Greeting · Ordering · Follow-Up) — 6%

  • Speed & Presentation of Food — 9%

  • Check Presentation / Close-Out — 4%


Bonus Indicators

Bonuses are applied after scoring, on the 100% scale, and capped at +1.0% total.
